Safety Shield coating.

EE-Evaluation Engineering • March, 2008 • EMC/ESD PRODUCT SHOWCASE

Staticide[R] ESD Safety Shield, a durable water-based acrylic coating, bonds to plastics such as tubing, clamshell protective packaging, carrying trays, and lids. It dries clear and leaves a dissipative coating that will not wash off or biodegrade. The coating can be brushed on, dipped, or sprayed. Surface resistivity is [10.sup.5] to [10.sup.7] [ohm] and available in customized formulations for lower resistance and complex plastics. Blended from polymer materials, it does not contain silicone or chloride contaminants. A gallon covers 1,500 [ft.sup.2] when applied with a foam brush and 600 [ft.sup.2] using a flow coat.
