I want my METV.

Industrial Engineer • March, 2008 • SITE TO SEE

Looks like YouTube doesn't have it all. Manufacturing practitioners who are bored with TV reruns and reality shows can instead turn to online videos to develop industry and technological insights. METV--Manufacturing Engineering magazine's Web streaming video channel--now posts two complete video programs online each month for free and on demand.

Since its debut in October 2006, METV has provided an opportunity to preview and evaluate the Fundamentals of Manufacturing Processes videos from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Topics covered in the videos include cutting tool materials, fastening and assembly, hydroforming, welding, and sheet metal coil processing.

To watch the videos, viewers will need a high-speed Internet connection and Windows Media Player (version 11 or higher).
