Tractor & Equipment Nigeria Ltd changes its name
to Mantrac.
TRACTOR & EQUIPMENT NIGERIA Limited, the exclusive authorised
dealer for Caterpillar equipment, has changed its name to MANTRAC. The
name change, effective from 1 December 2007, was made in order to bring
the firm into alignment with sister companies in Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania,
Uganda, Ghana and Russia.
Mantrac Nigeria Limited is an associate company of the Mantrac
Group, which is also the sole authorised Caterpillar dealer in Egypt,
Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Iraq and parts of Russia.
The Group also caters to offshore customers through representative
offices in the United Kingdom and Dubai. The Mantrac Group is a part of
the Mansour Group of companies, which--after achieving steady growth
over the course of its history--currently employs a total of over 12,000
professionals worldwide. Speaking to reporters recently, Mantrac Nigeria
Managing Director Bill Haxworth explained that the company had aligned
itself with the Mantrac group so as to consolidate its leading position
in the industry while improving the quality of both products and
services.

"Our decision reflects the need to keep up with international
trends in the heavy-duty equipment industry and to ensure that Nigerians
benefit from the globalization of our services," Haxworth said.
"Our customers in Nigeria are assured of the same quality of
service enjoyed by Mantrac customers worldwide."
For over 60 years, Mantrac Nigeria Limited has distributed and
supported the complete line of CAT construction machines,
material-handling equipment and power generation sets of all sizes and
power ranges. It also supplies world-renowned Olympian brand power
generator sets.

more than 300 highly-qualified professionals--operating through a
network of five branches in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri, Kaduna and
Abuja--to ensure the total fulfillment of customers' needs. Mantrac
service centres are equipped to perform total overhauls, while qualified
service engineers can be dispatched directly to customers' work
sites at any time with the necessary diagnostic and repair tools.
Mantrac maintains adequate stock levels of genuine CAT parts, in
addition to offering a variety of customer-support agreements tailored
to suit customers' specific business needs, from preventive
maintenance kits to total repair and overhaul. These benefits combine to
keep customers' equipment always running at peak productivity and
with minimum down time--both decreasing operating costs and boosting
profitability. With its new name, Mantrac Nigeria Limited remains
dedicated to providing superior products and service support, thus
playing a direct role in the further development of the Nigerian
economy.
