Aspen Publishers (New York), a unit of Wolters Kluwer Law &
Business (Riverwoods, IL), has entered into an agreement with Jim Rigos
(Rigos Professional Education Programs; Seattle, WA) to sell and market
his national self-study bar review publications for the National
Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) exams used by many jurisdictions.
The Rigos Professional Education programs are designed to help
prepare individuals for professional legal and accounting licensing
examinations such as the BAR, CPA, and CMA-CFM exams. The company also
offers professional ethics and legal liability courses for CPAs, CMAs
and business enterprises.
The "Rigos Multi-State Bar Review" consists of four
titles in five volumes: the "Objective Bar Exam" (MBE, two
volumes), "Subjective Essay Exam" (MEE), "Performance and
Practice Exam" (MPT), and the "Professional Ethics Exam"
(MPRE). The books are accompanied by Magic Memory Outline software that
is designed to help students in synthesizing and summarizing the
black-letter law and use acronyms and tips to assist in memorizing legal
elements.
The books include mock practice exams and accompanying CDs carry
question/answer drills. Additional titles will be produced. The titles
become a part of Aspen's Emmanuel Bar Review Series.
