Thomson Tax & Accounting (New York), a unit of The Thomson Corp. (Stamford, CT), has acquired TaxStream (Hoboken, NJ), a provider of software designed to help corporations comply, plan and remit income taxes. No terms of the deal were given. The TaxStream product line supports all major vendors in the tax compliance market and facilitates compliance to multinational, publicly traded companies based in the U.S. and Europe. Its Web-based provisioning software helps multinationals more accurately estimate their tax expense across multiple geographies and jurisdictions worldwide.
