I really look forward to when Bookmarks arrives in my mail. I fill
up my "Want to Read" list on paper, and then I pass the issue
on to the nurse-practitioner at my doctor's office. We give each
other book recommendations. In fact, during my last visit, we talked
about books before we talked about why I was there. I always pass on my
issues of Bookmarks to someone I think will enjoy them.

I love Bookmarks. I used to read Pages and Book, but since they are
gone, I now turn exclusively to Bookmarks. I wish I had the luxury of
time to read all the books I want to read--but I don't. At least I
feel that I read a little when I read about all of those books.

I'm so happy. I work as a Library Technician at a public
library (Arthur Miller Branch Library in Warren, Michigan). I catalog
and process our magazines and was thrilled to see Bookmarks come across
my desk. I think our patrons will love it. Neither our librarian nor our
supervisor had heard of your magazine previously.

It's funny, Lynnette. Though we were recognized as a
"Best New Magazine" by Library Journal way back in 2002, some
librarians are still not familiar with us. As this issue goes to press,
Jessica and I are attending the 2008 Public Library Conference in
Minneapolis. With over 10,000 attendees and thousands of magazines to
hand out, we plan on spreading the word.
