Solid-state switching matrix.

EE-Evaluation Engineering • April, 2008 • INSTRUMENTATION

The 40-563 is a solid-state switching version of the company's BRIC suited for applications that require hot switching. The matrix is available with two, four, and eight slots. The FET-based BRIC switches have a continuous current rating of 0.25 A and can sustain inrush currents of 0.75 A for 100 ms without any degradation of operational life. These switches ensure fast rise and fall times of typically 20 ms without contact bounce. Each switch has a typical on resistance of 0.8 [omh] providing a typical path resistance of 2.5 [ohm] between X-axis connections. Matrix sizes range from 68x4 to 384x8.
