DocuSender(TM) appliance to distribution channel partners worldwide.
DocuSender is a unique business solution that allows hard copy
documents to be scanned directly from a USB scanner to an e-mail address
or fax line. When a document is sent as an e-mail, each page of the
document is scanned as an image and arrives in the e-mail inbox as
separate GIF file attachments.
Ringdale's ModuLAN devices are aimed at organizations moving
toward a paperless office. DocuSender compliments the ModuLAN
FaxReceiver(TM), which converts incoming faxes into e-mails and sends
them directly to an inbox without using a PC.
DocuSender consists of a small base unit that connects to an
Ethernet network, a phone line using Ringdale's PCMCIA modem
technology and a compatible USB scanner. The touch panel keypad with
digital display that comes with the unit is used to select e-mail and
fax numbers that have been pre-programmed into the system or may be
entered manually.
DocuSender's extensive list of compatible USB scanner models
has expanded to include the HP Scanjet(R) 8270. Other compatible
scanners are the Visioneer(R) 9750 PDF, 9650 and 9450; Visioneer
Patriot(R) series 780, 680, 470 and 430; Xerox(R) DocuMate(R) series
632, 520, 272 and 152; Fujitsu(R) fi-5220C and fi-5015C.
