* Church & Dwight Co., Inc. obtained a favorable verdict in a patent infringement action against Abbott Laboratories. The case involved pregnancy tests marketed by Abbott Laboratories under its Fact Plus trademark. The patents cover over-the-counter pregnancy tests sold at supermarkets, drug stores and mass merchandisers. Church & Dwight asserted that Abbott infringed three of those patents through the sale of Fact Plus from April 1999-Sept. 2003. The jury awarded Church & Dwight damages in the amount of $14.6 million.
