The Fragrance Foundation to offer advanced
certification.
* The Fragrance Foundation has created an Advanced Certification
Program for Fragrance Sales Specialists (ACFSS). This course will
provide existing Certified Fragrance Sales Specialists (CFSS) with an
opportunity to expand their credentials in the fragrance and beauty
industry. The advanced course is available online through May 31.
The new program requires sales specialists to use their nose as
well as their mind. The content focuses on fragrance families and notes
with an interactive smelling component.
Each sales specialist is supplied with a fragrance kit, which
includes the fragrance materials and commercial fragrances mentioned in
the content.
In order to be qualified to take the exam, a sales specialist must
have successfully completed the CFSS Program, hold a current CFSS
Certification, have worked for at least one year in the fragrance
industry since receiving the CFSS designation and have the
support/recommendation of a current supervisor or training director.
A sales specialist must score at least 75 to pass the exam and
achieve advanced certification. Those who pass receive a pin designating
the advanced achievement as well as a certificate.
