Twinlab, Grand Rapids, MI, has launched Endurance Fuel, a
multi-stage powdered beverage that anticipates an athlete's needs
before, during and after a race. The formulation contains antioxidants
to protect muscles, and timed-release carbohydrates for continuous
energy. Electrolytes replenish and aid in proper hydration, and
beta-alanine improves endurance. Endurance Fuel has no fat or artificial
colors and contains clinically tested ingredients in three distinct
complexes. Stage One: Drinking before training hydrates the body and
floods the system with Defense Complex, a fusion of clinically-tested
antioxidants, which helps protect muscles during exercise; Stage Two:
Designed to power the athlete through training, Endurance Blend contains
several components--the four-stage carbohydrate mixture releases energy
gradually over time, increasing endurance and stamina, while
electrolytes help replenish essential nutrients. Beta-alanine, the
endurance ingredient, was also added to raise the anaerobic threshold in
athletes; Stage Three: Post-exercise recovery is addressed with Recovery
Matrix, which contains whey to reduce protein lost during exercise, and
casein, a protein that is absorbed over time and readily restores and
grows resting muscle.
