Rainforest Botanicals has introduced a new omega-rich oil, Sacha
Pure Omega, from the seed of sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis), which
can be used in nutritional supplements, functional foods and cosmetics.
According to the company, Sacha Pure Omega has a high proportion of
essential fatty acids (84.41%) and unsaturated fatty acids (93.69%),
more than any other oil. It also contains antioxidants such as
alpha-tocopherol, vitamin E, vitamin C and a high level of protein.
