Blackwell Publishing (Malden, MA) has begun the publication of
"Negotiation and Conflict Management," a new journal that
publishes fundamental research on conflict and conflict management
across levels, including organizational conflict, interpersonal and
inter-group conflict, environmental conflict, crisis negotiations,
political conflict, cross-cultural conflict, and mediation and
arbitration. A standard annual print/online subscription to the new
quarterly title costs $325.
The official journal of the International Association for Conflict
Management, the journal also covers formal and informal third-party
intervention, including mediation and arbitration, and carries both
theoretical and empirical papers, as well as shorter research notes.
The first two issues includes articles on: envy and the use of
deception, strategic adherence to social norms, he effects of
relationship conflict, negotiations and revealing deadlines, training in
negotiations, emergent negotiations and shifts in negotiation dynamics,
the effect of past performance on risk attitudes in negotiations, gender
differences in response to impression motivation, and bargaining,
communication and limited war.
Blackwell publishes over 20 other legal and legal-related journals
including titles such as "Law & Policy," "American
Business Law Journal," "Juvenile and Family Court
Journal" and "European Law Journal."
