The International Association of IT Lawyers (IAITL; Hellemup,
Denmark) is now publishing the "Journal of International Commercial
Law and Technology," a quarterly, open-access online journal that
is designed to further the understanding of international commercial law
and technology.
IAITL said the journal is written to stimulate research and become
a major voice for academics, practitioners and consultants in discussing
the significant legal developments in commercial law and diverse aspects
of information technology. Content will also encourage professionals
involved in commercial and IT law to engage more fully with the IT
industry, policymakers and members of the general public.
Content in initial issues includes coverage of topics such as:
cross-border business in the EU and statutory disclosure requirements;
tapping and data retention in communications networks; recent
developments in corporate governance; new Turkish commercial draft law
reforms; the impact of legal challenges on the evolution of web-based
intelligent agents; identity theft; preserving data mining in law
enforcement; waiver of a right to arbitrate by resort to litigation;
financial collateral agreements; concept of privacy in space; and,
international commercial arbitration.
The IAITL also sponsors and organizes conferences, including the
Conference on Legal, Security and Privacy Issues and the International
Conference on Business, Law and Technology.
