In related news, LexisNexis (New York) has begun the publication of
"New Appleman on Insurance: Current Critical Issues in Insurance
Law," a new "hot topics" publication that addresses
current issues facing insurance law practitioners. An annual
subscription in print or online costs $282 with individual issues
available for $75.
The new information service is described as title that provides
"invaluable insights into the most urgent challenges confronting
practitioners handling an insurance case." Written by both
practitioners and scholars, the articles cover a variety of federal and
state insurance law issues, ranging from natural disasters to
jurisdictional questions.
Articles published thus far include: an analysis of the role of
ambiguity in insurance policy interpretation; the role and propriety of
insurers' payments to brokers of contingent commissions, terrorism
insurance and issues of coverage and regulation, an analysis of the
application of the "Other Insurance" provisions in insurance,
and, the role of federal courts in considering reinsurance arbitration.
Other articles have covered the implications for insurance coverage
of global warming, issues in advertising injury insurance, the duty of
an attorney to advise clients about possible insurance coverage, an
insurer's right to recoup non-covered defense costs and indemnity

"Journal of Drug Addiction, Education and Eradication," a
quarterly journal devoted to the study of various, misused and, in
particular, abused drugs and their effects on global, national and local
society. An annual subscription costs $325.325.
The journal includes coverage of topics related to law enforcement,
administration of justice, neurobiology, chemistry, counseling,
medicine, economics, religion, pharmacy, sociology, education and
psychology, among others.
Initial issues include articles and stories on: anti-addictive
compounds; scientific evidence related to medical marijuana; drug
education; the D.A.R.E. program; methadone maintenance; methamphetamines
and punishment; the evolution of the regulation of the medical uses of
psychedelic drugs; FDA drug evaluations; regulatory and ethical issues
in psychedelic research; and, regulation of prescriptions.
It also covers such issues as: legalization, the impact of drug
