The Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA) School of Law has begun the
publication of the "Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the
Law" a new journal designed to contribute to the body of knowledge
in the fields of entrepreneurship and business. It will be published
twice a year and an annual subscription costs $29.
Pepperdine said the new periodical's content reflects the
mission of the Law School's Palmer Center to provide a dual focus
on entrepreneurship and the law, as well as a range of related
technological, legal and business concerns.
The first issue includes articles on: the "evolving written
description doctrine" and the search for specificity; software
licenses, source code escrows and trustee powers; legal education on
business transactions; legal issues involved in healthcare business
transactions; limiting patent claims; the Moral Rights Act of 2007; and,
legal issues relevant to renewable energy developments.
The journal will also work with the Palmer Center to host symposia
in the fields of entrepreneurship and business and will publish
resulting symposia issues. An accompanying online publication forum
promotes discussion between readers, authors, and students. The
Pepperdine University Law School also publishes "Pepperdine Law
Review," an annual journal.
