Westlaw Business, an online service established in 2007 by Thomson
West (Eagan, MN) to offer research and legal guidance on mergers and
acquisitions, offerings, securities and related business law topics, has
added The Private Equity Center (PEC) to its services. The PEC is
Westlaw Business' fourth specialized work center, joining LIVEDGAR,
Securities and M&A, and includes coverage of buy-out and capital
markets, laws and regulations, and guidance materials. It also includes
'33 Act and '34 Act information as well as Blue Sky coverage.
Also, Westlaw said that the M&A Center has been enhanced with the
addition of all relevant M&A-related laws and regulations, including
the Williams Act and Hart-Scott-Rodino.
Also, Thomson West (Eagan, MN) has expanded coverage of its Jury
Verdict newsletter series with the publication of "Jury Verdicts
Illinois Reports." The newsletter compiles court decisions from
Illinois courts, including jury verdicts, settlements, and arbitration
awards. Summaries include information on the type of case, the type of
liability, a list of involved attorneys and experts, case analysis and
award breakdowns. Types of cases covered include medical malpractice,
auto accidents, breach of contract, employment, insurance, fraud, and
wrongful death. Published monthly, an annual subscription costs $425.
