Materiality and Investment, "a new book that is designed for both
legal and non-legal business and finance professionals involved in
intellectual property law. Content discusses how IP rights are treated
from an asset perspective, including how they are created, exploited,
litigated, valued, insured and reported. Editorial also covers major
areas of change in IP law, including the potential impact of the pending
Patent Reform Act of 2007 on various aspects of patent assets. Chapters
cover: conducting an IP due diligence; preliminary matters in IP audits;
conducting an IP audit; valuation of IP assets: insuring IP assets; and,

John Wiley & Sons (Hoboken, NJ) has published "economic
and Legal Issues in Intellectual Property," a new book that
consists of nine papers that examine the economic and legal issues
relevant to the intellectual property debate. Topics covered include
economic-incentives to innovate, copyright law and infringement,
trademarks, IP rights for artists, indigenous knowledge and university
research, new knowledge economy and society, country risk and
innovation, and legal protection of intellectual property. Chapters also
carry information on European innovation systems, applications to
foreign patents registered in the U.S., and intellectual property
litigation in the U.S. The book costs $35.
