Pillsbury is offering Kachori baked snacks filled with lentils at a
special price of $3.29, marked down from the suggested retail list price
of $4.39. Twelve pieces of the heat-and-eat product come per 360-gram
box. Produced by Sinnar, Nasik-based General Mills India Pvt. Ltd.,
other ingredients of the popular item include wheat flour, sesame,
cashews, potatoes, chickpea flour, vegetable oil and mung beans.
Poppin' Fresh, the name of "The Pillsbury Doughboy"
mascot and advertising icon originally created for the Minneapolis,
Minnesota, USA-head-quartered Pillsbury Company back in 1965, can be
found on plenty of products in India these days. Another one, for
example, is ready-to-puff Roti, distributed in 240-gram polybags.
