You don't have to grope around blindly for automated sandwich line production equipment when you can get it all from Grote Company. Grote's sandwich line equipment can be used to reduce labor and increase productivity on any sandwich assembly line. Specific automation solutions include:

* Roll Cutter/Butterer--a single lane, all stainless steel unit designed to convey whole roll or sub products and cut them to adjustable depth and height dimensions. The unit will open the hinged product through 180 degrees with both cut surfaces facing up. An optional butter box lightly butters both surfaces before transferring them downstream for further processing.

* Bread Denester--a multi-lane, all stainless steel system designed to feed individual slices of bread from a manually loaded feed conveyor, providing for open-ended and continuous operation. After pre-sliced bread is loaded into the bread feed conveyor, a pick head assembly automatically transfers the bread from the feed conveyor onto the main carry-out conveyor. The Bread Denester is available in standard two and four-lane configurations, and is also available with an optional butter feed unit.

* Volumetric Depositor--ideal for depositing, injecting and decorating with all types of liquid and semi-liquid products. Using various combinations of hopper, nozzle, and decorating heads, the depositor accurately and consistently deposits a wide range of food products, and is available in three basic configurations: Mini (70 gram maximum deposit weight), Mono (150 gram maximum deposit weight), and Particulate (for depositing more viscous products with large particulate content).

* Ultrasonic Sandwich and Wrap Cutters--cleanly and automatically cut sandwiches and wraps into two equal halves. The sandwich cutter accurately aligns the sandwich prior to cutting, and the wrap cutter is capable of cleanly cutting sandwich wraps with bias angle cuts from 0 to 45 degrees. Virtually all types of sandwiches and toppings are easily and cleanly cut with the ultrasonic blade, including meats, cheeses, salads, and fresh produce.

* Sandwich Assembly Conveyor--an all stainless steel unit designed to convey sandwich products over any required length. The stainless steel top bed is formed with continuous gutters along both sides of the conveyor, creating ideal locations for placing sandwich ingredients at each operator work station. The conveyor can be customized with an optional Belt Wash/Clean In Place (CIP) system. The CIP system provides for continuous washing and drying of the belt during production, and is easily removed for cleaning and sanitation.
