Eurocash, a trading group in Poland, has acquired McLane Polska, a distributor of food products and a provider of logistics services, from its US parent M-C McLane International.

M-C McLane International does business in North, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania.

McLane Polska reports average annual revenues of 300 million euros, and is the owner of three distribution centers: in Blonie (near Warsaw), Ruda Slaska and Gdynia, in addition to 11 warehouses in Poland.

The company specializes in distribution of food, impulse-buy products and tobacco to fuel stations, restaurants and grocery stores, including 300 IGA franchise outlets, of which McLane Polska is the operator. The takeover is expected to enable Eurocash to improve its position on the wholesale market and to gain new customers.
