The National Defense Industrial Association announced the winners of its annual Colonel Leo A. Codd Memorial Award for 2007, which recognizes outstanding junior officers in ROTC programs throughout the United States.

First through third place winners are recognized in the Army, Navy and Air Force. Winners receive a U.S. savings bond.

The winners in the Army from first to third place are: Maj. Robert L. B. Edwards, University of Rhode Island; Maj. Anthony J. Stokely, Ohio State University; and Maj. Rodney J. Cruce, University of Central Florida.

Navy and Marine Corps recipients include: Lt. John W. Ferrar, University of San Diego; Capt. Roger T. Mahar, Southern University and A&M College; and Maj. William B. Fenwick, University of Minnesota.

The Air Force recipients are: Maj. William P. Pastewait, University of Washington (Seattle); Maj. Robert E Childress, Clemson University; and Capt. Justin T. Golart, West Virginia University.
