New stuff, free stuff and old stuff in a spiffy new
box.
What would a trade show be without product launches and vendors
hawking new flavors of just about every fundraising tool on the face of
the Earth? It was no different in San Diego earlier this month at the
Association of Fundraising Professionals 45th International Conference
on Fundraising. Here are a few of the items being hawked.
UPGRADES TO BLACKBAUD'S NETCOMMUNITY
Fundraising conglomerate Blackbaud announced the availability of an
exclusively-SaaS (software as a service) version of its Web site
management solution Blackbaud[R] NetCommunity[TM]. The
"Universal" version will provide a Blackbaud solution for
Internet marketing and communications to nonprofits with third-party CRM
databases without sacrificing a holistic view of constituents, according
to the company.
Leveraging its Infinity platform, Blackbaud[R] NetCommunity
Universal[TM] (formerly code-named "Scorpio") will enable
distributed executive reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs),
data exchange through an open Web services API, and automated batch
processes for rapid processing and data integrity protection.
Blackbaud NetCommunity Universal allows organizations that rely on
online communication and fundraising to formulate and execute strategic,
integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns by increasing data
accessibility and response rates, and enhancing Internet communications.

DONORPERFECT UNVEILS SOCIAL NETWORK FUNDRAISING TOOL
DonorPerfect released DonorPages, which allows donors, volunteers,
board members to raise money and awareness for their nonprofits'
mission. Users can create an event Web site portal where supporters can
visit and easily create their own individualized Web pages.
Utilizing Web 2.0 technologies, supporters can, via email or social
networking sites such as MySpace or Facebook, invite everyone they know
to visit their page. Page visitors can then learn about the
nonprofits' mission and then donate online, or take other desired
actions such as registering for an event or signing a petition.
Donor information and transactions are downloaded to the
nonprofit's DonorPerfect Fundraising System or any other
third-party database system. With DonorPages, nonprofits can raise more
with less time and expense than with other peer-to-peer fundraising
tools and techniques. For more information, visit www.donorperfect,
