Casting Answers & Advice, 11;45 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Ask leading metalcasting industry experts questions and find potential solutions for some of your most pressing problems.

AFS Copper Division Luncheon, 11:45 a.m.

This luncheon will include the presentation "The Challenge of China," by Raymond Monroe, Steel Founders' Society of America.

Spouses' Mixer, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Enjoy light refreshments while meeting with old and new friends.

AFS/NADCA Welcome Reception, 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

AFS and NADCA welcome all attendees to this premier reception, which will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet with customers, vendors and other attendees. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Sunday, May 18

AFS Recognition Luncheon, 11:45 a.m.

This luncheon will feature the Best Paper and Division Awards, as well as the presentation of the Howard Taylor Award and the Ray Witt Award.

AFS Annual Banquet, 7:00 p.m.

Highlights of the annual banquet include the presentation of the AFS Gold Medal. An evening of entertainment will start with Quick Change, finalists in America's Got Talent 2006, comedy by Chris Bliss and a final act by The Original Drifters.

Monday, May 19

SPOUSES' "Simply Southern Tour," 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

The focus of this tour is the Atlanta History Center, including the newest addition to the facility, The Olympic Museum. Also included in the History Center is the Swan House, a mansion built in 1928, and the Tullie Smith House, which adjoins the Swan House, one of the few pre-Civil War houses in Atlanta.

The Charles Edgar Hoyt Memorial Lecture, 10:15 a.m.

Joseph A. Carpenter, Jr., U.S. Dept. of Energy, will present "FreedomCAR and Casting: Research & Development of Cast Automotive Components."

AFS Town Hall Meeting, 11:30 a.m.

The Town Hall Meeting will give members an opportunity to voice their concerns or raise questions with the AFS Board of Directors and AFS staff.

NADCA Recognition luncheon, 11:45 a.m.

Awards will be presented for best Congress Paper, Instructor of the Year and Technical Committee Member of the Year. The Safety Award winners and Die Casting Design contest winners also will be honored.

AFS Alumni Dinner, 6:30 p.m.

The evening will begin with a tour of the Georgia Aquarium from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., followed by a reception and dinner in the Arctic Ballroom. Must be Alumni to attend.

NADCA International Reception & Awards Ceremony, 6:30 p.m.

This event, held at the Atlanta History Center, includes the presentation of prestigious industry awards to individuals who have made important contributions to the advancement of the diecasting industry. Cocktails and hor d'oeurves will be served throughout the museum floor to encourage guests to view signature exhibitions.

AFS Aluminium Division Reception & Dinner 6:30 p.m.

The dinner program will include presentation of the Aluminum Div.'s Service and Scientific awards, including the annual Frishmuth Award honoring the "Foundryman of the Year."

Tuesday, May 20

AFS President's Luncheon & Annual Business Meeting, 12:00 p.m.

The luncheon features the presentation of special awards, election of AFS officers and directors and election of CMI officers and directors. In addition, the AFS/CMI Directors' Award will be presented, as well as the Casting of the Year and Millionaires Safety Award.
