Cathay Pacific Airways
Cathay Pacific has upgraded its economy, business and first class
offer with the new designs being progressively installed on all new
aircraft as they are delivered. In addition, the new cabins - launched
in tandem with consultants Design Q - will gradually be retrofitted on
all Cathay[sup.1]s long-haul aircraft and will be available on the Asian
carrier[sup.1]s services between London Heathrow and Hong Kong. The
development means that all three classes will now be available from the
UK as aircraft are kitted out. Previously, the product had been
installed on US services but eventually will be seen on all four daily
flights that Cathay operates from Heathrow to Hong Kong. Specifically,
the economy section features seats with 32[sup.2] (81.3cm) pitch and
which are claimed to maximise knee and shin clearance [and] a fixed back
design which allows the passenger to recline without encroaching on the
personal space of others.[sup.1] Apr 8, 2008
