Haworth Press (Binghamton, NY) has launched a new journal in the
filed of mental health and will launch two other journals later this
year, including a medical title and a marketing journal.
The "Journal of Creativity in Mental Health," published
in association with the American Counseling Association (Alexandria,
VA), is a quarterly journal designed as a reference source for academics
and therapeutic practitioners that examines the benefits and
applications of using creativity to help deepen self-awareness and the
build healthy relationships. Content includes examines research, theory
and practice related to creativity, diversity and relational movement in
therapy. An annual subscription costs $72 for individuals and $305 for
institutions and libraries.
To be launched later this year, "Journal of Non-Profit
Marketing" will be published quarterly to carry information on how
to market non-profit organizations, dealing with the donor's needs
and understanding the capital campaign process. Content will also cover
campaign fundraising, promotions plans, fundraising training, setting
goals and targeting constituents, using a marketing mix, developing a
marketing plan, and operating a successful promotion campaign.
Also scheduled for launch later this year, "Journal of EMDR
Practice and Research" (EMDR; Eye Movement Desensitization &
Reprocessing, a form of psychotherapy) will be published quarterly to
carry research and theoretical articles about EMDR and their application
to clinical practice. Content will include investigations of procedural
components such as eye movements, dual bilateral stimulation, and
examination of theoretical models and cognitive behavioral elements such
as exposure or cognitions in EMDR.
