BAR BEACH, LAGOS, is destined to become an international tourist centre, according to the Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront and Infrastructure Development, Prince Adesegun Oniru. He said the government had given approval for the project, named Eko Atlantic City and estimated to cost US$3,5bn. He added that the work, which would involve sand filling up to 100 hectares, would be a joint venture with a foreign based private company, possibly the French construction company, Energx B.V.
