Mr Vinod Nair, Regional Manager, Telecommunication
Division, Middle East and Africa for Samsung Gulf
Electronics.
MR VINOD NAIR currently holds the position of Regional Manager of
Samsung Gulf Electronics Telecommunication Division. He is responsible
for setting the goals and strategy for mobile phone business in the MEA
region as well as working closely with local branches to implement
Samsung's mobile phone strategies.
During his tenure with Samsung, Nair played a key role in expanding
and increasing the Samsung's market share for mobile phones in the
region. Mr. Nair achieved a year-on-year growth of almost 73 per cent in
the first quarter of 2007 since joining MEA Headquarters.
He joined Samsung in 2003 as Global Strategist with Samsung's
Global Strategy Group. He was previously employed at Infineon
Technologies wire line access business unit in Singapore as Head of
Product Development.
Nair graduated with an MBA degree from INSEAD, France. He obtained
an MS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A & M University, USA as
well as a BTech Electrical Engineering degree from Kerala University in
India.
