Mr Sun-Bong Kim, President, Samsung Electronics.

MR SUN-BONG KIM was named president of Samsung Gulf Electronics, the leading brand in consumer electronic goods in February 2007. Mr Kim is charged with overseeing company operations in sales and marketing of related products in the Gulf, and IT/TC in Saudi Arabia and Levant region. During his tenure, Mr Kim has spearheaded the setting up of the IT and Telecommunication business within Samsung Gulf Electronics which included establishing channels, identifying distributors and defining the market.

Mr Kim has served in various posts throughout his career with Samsung since he joined the company in 1986. He previously served as Senior Regional Manager for India, Middle East & Africa for Samsung Mobile Phones (Korea, 2002-2007). Mr Kim also served as Senior Product Manager for Samsung IT and Hand-Held Phones divisions at Samsung Gulf Electronics from 1997 to 2002.

Mr Kim holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Sung Kyunkwan in Seoul, Korea.
