After 42 years in the hardware industry, Paul Ferguson, AHC, has
decided it's time to trade in his desk chair for a rocking chair.
The long-time Door Security Solutions of Canada employee edited his last
order on February 29 and began a well-deserved retirement.

Paul's departure will leave an immense void in the Canadian
office where his expertise and product knowledge have made him an
invaluable resource for customers and coworkers.
He broke into the industry working 11 years for a SARGENT product
distributor before moving on to spend the next 31 years with Door
Security Solutions of Canada, formerly SARGENT of Canada. Throughout his
years in the company, Paul has held positions in inside sales, customer
service and order entry. During this time, he received certification as
an Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC) and was often called upon to
answer hardware challenges big and small.
Paul says the aspects of work he will miss most are the daily
interactions with fellow staff members and helping solve customer
problems.
Keeping busy in retirement won't be a problem for Paul: he
plans to enjoy his new-found time with his wife, Pauline; two children,
Steven and Julie, and four grandchildren. A cottage on a lake, boat-
ing, fishing and travel will also will also weigh heavily in his future
plans. As an avid sports fan, he plans to route heartily for his
favorite football and--let's not forget he's a proud
Canadian--hockey teams.
