Keynote speakers Laura Adams, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Quality Institute, and Joseph Duhig, senior vice president of the Juran Institute and Juran Healthcare, roused professionals and students alike at February's Society for Health Systems Conference, addressing areas such as quality improvement, manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services, education, and insurance.

Conference attendees packed educational sessions, keynote presentations, vendor exhibits, and networking events to learn new ways to bridge clinical, operational, and financial performance in their day-to-day operations. Topics in patient safety, lean production, work simplification solutions, and strategic planning for patient care excellence dominated both the professional and student activities.
