Tom Jones Corp. was awarded the contract to build a new Thunder Bay high school.

Their winning bid of $26.4 million was approved April 8 by the Lakehead Public School Board.

Construction begins by month's end with the ribbon-cutting set for September 2009. The 130,000-square-foot building will house 1,100 students and will replace Hillcrest and Port Arthur Collegiate Institute.
