It's that time of year again, when the members of the Free
State Project--you know, the handful of folks who have moved to New
Hampshire to tell us how we want to live - hold their annual Freedom
Festival, aka "PorcFest."

In case you missed it, the project, which describes itself as
"one of the largest pro-liberty organiza tions in the
country," is hoping to lure 20,000 like-minded believers in small
government, less government and no government to move to New Hampshire,
aka the "Free State".'

The June 9- 15 PorcFest, says the group, will be designed to
"entice" (that's their word) "thou A sands" to
the state where you live free or die.
According to the project's press release touting the event
"These goals are accomplished through bus tours around the state,
group hikes, shooting range trips, team sports, outdoor concerts by
local bands, vendor/exhibitor tables, pub nights, camping a 'meet
the movers' panel, and a variety of other planned and spontaneous
activities:'
All sounds fine and dandy. But do you think anyone over at the FSP
sees any irony in the choice of venue for most of their big do's
activities? It's none other than the Gunstock Ski Area, owned and
operated by the government of the county of Belknap.
