Richard B. Jones, Hampstead, N.C., died May 3, 2008. He was 81.
Jones was director of the American Foundry Society (AFS) from 1978-1981.
He began his metalcasting career with J.F. McCormick in the 1960s and
finished with Industrial Chemical Products in 1987, when he moved into
the advertising business.
Richard W. Moore, Burford, Ontario, Canada, died Jan. 30, 2008. He
was 62. Moore spent the majority of his metalcasting career with Hickman
Williams but also held positions at Hamilton-Porcelein, Dash and Paris
Technical Ceramics. He was a member of the American Foundry Society.
Robert M. Hampton, Quincy, Ill., died March 29, 2008. He was 88.
Hampton (known to his friends as "Bunk") was employed by the
Midwest Foundry Company for 38 years, working his way from general
accountant, to personnel manager, to vice president/controller.
