Filtration specialists, Axium Process, have introduced a new Compact filter to their range of hygienic stainless steel wedge wire Pure-Screen filters which has been designed specifically for installation in confined spaces or where flow rates are required of up to 15,000-20,000 litres per hour (based on water).

This robust filter design features a new 316 stainless steel safety clamp closure, employs no 'O' rings and is manufactured with a metal to metal seal so that the element can be removed easily and without sticking. The filters are ideally suited for applications where the use of rubber 'O' rings could present a risk

Designed in accordance with ASME-BPE principles and available with certification to BS EN 10204 3.1, Axium's new Compact filter is available as a 90_, in-line or straight through design with 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 3000 and 5000 micron interchangeable filter elements as standard.

As well as the Pure-Screen wedge wire filter range, the company also offers a low cost perforated sheet strainer which is designed as a low pressure drop 'last chance' filter and can be used as a coarse filter or as a means of protecting pumps and instruments.
