JOHN HANSHAW, president of HCA MountainStar Healthcare, has been
appointed to lead the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Section
for Metropolitan Hospitals. This is a national forum where suburban and
urban hospitals discuss common interests and concerns as well as
participate in the AHA policy process. Hanshaw will chair the
section's 25-member governing council. He also serves as immediate
past-chair of the Utah Hospital Association (UHA) Board of Trustees.
