Dow Reichhold Specialty Latex recently introduced PolySaf 5600 polymer, a new ingredient for use in personal care products, including body washes, shampoos and deodorants. Utilizing unique cationic emulsion chemistry, this new polymer will help formulators develop extremely mild and gentle personal care products with improved deodorancy and a clean after-feel, according to the company.

"PolySaf 5600 will provide solid growth opportunities for formulators who want to provide differentiated value in personal care products," said Patrick Delaney, business development manager for the Personal Care Group at Dow Reichhold. "The formulators and industry leaders we've spoken with about this product worldwide are excited about our unique chemistry. This is nothing else like PolySaf 5600 out in the market."

This new ingredient from Dow Reichhold is a multifunctional water-based polymer that imparts many benefits, including: deodorancy, clean after feel, antistatic properties, film forming ability, non-irritating and good foaming. It is also compatible with a wide range of other ingredients, enabling future new product development efforts. More info: www.PolySafPolymers.com
