With an eye on becoming the biggest chamber of commerce in Northeastern Ontario, the Timmins Chamber of Commerce kicked off its Chamber Recruitment Week from Friday, June 13 to Friday, June 20.
This included a trio of events, featuring a TGIF Business After 5 at Club 147 on June 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The chamber's Ask the Expert series continued on June 17 at the Timmins Police Service's community board room, where attendees learned about business crime prevention. Finally, a member appreciation barbecue was held on June 19 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on chamber grounds.
Currently, the chamber represents more than 700 members, and seeks to grow its membership by 255 in order to surpass the total of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce.
