Young entrepreneurs pursuing new businesses in dentistry, aesthetics and jewellery in the Timmins area are seeing contributions from the province's Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
The Dental Hygiene Care Clinic is set to receive $25,000 to assist with the purchase of furniture and new equipment. The new company focuses on offering mobile dental services to those who are homebound or shut in.
A beauty treatment and massage therapy shop, called Perfect Nails and More, also benefits from the program. It will receive $23,800, which will also go towards purchasing furniture and new equipment.
A custom-made jewellery business in Kapuskasing is receiving $21,250, also for furniture and equipment. The business, called By Samie G, will custom-design each piece in-house.
