ColoradoBiz • August, 2008 • A QUARTET OF COLORADO CANINE PRODUCTS FOR THE DOG DAYS
OF SUMMER:
Scot and Heather Korth, pug owners and condo dwellers in
Denver's Golden Triangle neighborhood, found traditional dog crates
"dumpy" and "a waste of valuable space," Scot said.

In response, the couple took it upon themselves to build a better
dog crate. Featuring a sleek design and built-in bed and bowl, the
Korths' Fido Flats are dual-purpose. Not only do Owen and Sammy
(their pugs) catch some Zs inside, said Scot, "We use them as
nightstands."
As Heather is an architect and Scot, a middle-school teacher, they
moonlight and make their premium dog crates from their condo. And, yes,
space remains an issue. "We're doing everything from our
balcony," Scot said with a laugh. $399 retail.
