Curtiss-Wright Corp. has signed an agreement with Westinghouse
Electric Company LLC to provide reactor coolant pumps (RCP) for up to
four AP1000 Generation III+ commercial nuclear power plants, or a total
of 32 RCPs. In conjunction with the agreement, Curtiss-Wright has
received purchase orders valued in excess of $300 million to supply the
first 24 domestic AP 1000 RCPs. The RCPs will be used in Westing
house's AP1000 design reactors, which will produce 1100 megawatts
each.
