After the success that the religious prayer, which were sung by
Egyptian singers Ali Al Hajar and May Farouq last Ramadan season,
president of the Egyptian television asked great musician Amir Abed Al
Majed and poet Naser Rashwan to repeat the successful experience once
again. The 'Cairo Sound' company made cassettes of last
Ramadan's prayers and sold them at music stores. The musicians
agreed for the new offer and went ahead with composing and distributing
30 different prayers that were recited by various famous Arab singers.
According to the London daily Elaph, poet Naser Rashwan expressed
his joy for writing the Ramadan prayers for the second time in a roll,
where it will see a great competition among great Arab and Egyptian
singers like Ali Al Hajar, Muhammad Al Helo, Shireen Abed Al Wahab,
Abdullah Rowaished, Nabil Shoail, Latifa, Majed Al Muhandis, Ehab
Tawfiq, Muhammad Al Mazem, Hamadah Hilal, Al Sheikh Abed Al Salam Al
Husni and Osama Al Sharif. In addition young artists May Farouq, Rami Al
Khatab, Mamdouh Barem and Riham Abed Al Hakim are also competing.
Musician Rashwan stated that artists were coming into studios to
record the prayer with their voices and were very happy to join the
experience. Arab singers gathered to take part in the Ramadan prayers in
order to pray for their Arab brothers and sisters who are suffering
especially in Iraq and Palestine.
On the other hand a prayer that was made out for the Prophet
Muhammad will be recited by the Egyptian singer Shireen Abed Al Wahab.
The prayer will be aired on the first day of Ramadan on the Egyptian
channel.
