A taste of Sri Lanka.

Food Trade Review • July, 2008 • New Products

Teas fresh from the mountain-top plantations of Sri Lanka are now available in the UK thanks to the new range of 'Chami' teas from Pure Ceylon Teas.

Tire secret to the delicious flavour is the Chami pyramid-shaped silken pouches which allow water to circulate around the tea leaves and gives them space to expand (there are four sides to these bags instead of the traditional two).

The 'fresh' flavour of the teas is further enhanced by using only handpicked whole leaf 100 percent pure Ceylon tea.

The Chami range from Pure Ceylon Teas is privileged to sport the Ceylon Lion logo awarded by the Sri Lankan Tea Board.

The lion logo call only be used by brands using 100 percent Ceylon tea which is packaged in Sri Lanka--this ensures peak freshness as the tea is packaged so soon after picking.

The range boasts an exotic selection of flavours including: Smoothing Peppermint Dream; Mango and Passionfruit; Pomegranate; and Vanilla Chai; as well as more traditional favourites such as Earl Grey and English Breakfast.
