Meanwhile, Cygnus Business Media (Westport, CT) CEO Carr Davis has
confirmed that his company has begun exploratory talks with unnamed
parties regarding a possible sale. He noted that, while Cygnus is not
actively seeking a buyer, it is open to listening to offers. Cygnus has
four main divisions, Cygnus Publishing, Cygnus Expositions, Cygnus
Interactive and Cygnus Custom Marketing, and produces 67 trade
publications, 11 directories, 68 web sites, 50 expositions and 15 custom
marketing publications in 15 markets, including agriculture/food,
construction equipment, printing, Building/Home Products, and Law
Enforcement, among others.
