DETECTIVES are hunting a burglar who left a house carrying a
37-inch flat screen TV set.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said two men fled when they were
disturbed at a house in Birtley Avenue, Tyne mouth, on Wednesday.
Officers searched the area and arrested a 33-year-old man on
suspicion of burglary but no trace was found of the other man or the TV
set.
The spokeswoman said: "It is believed two intruders forced
their way in at the front of the house but they were disturbed by an
occupant and ran out of the front door.
"One was carrying a 37-inch flat-screen television."
The man police want to trace is described as white and in his early
20s.
He was wearing a white Chelsea-type jacket with a blue stripe.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who saw or heard
