Swiss life science company Lonza has signed a new
strategic partnership with Novartis for the joint development and
manufacture of Novartis' biologics as an extension of Lonza's
current contract manufacturing business model.

Swiss life science company Lonza has signed a new strategic
partnership with Novartis for the joint development and manufacture of
Novartis' biologics as an extension of Lonza's current
contract manufacturing business model. Lonza has also entered into a
strategic partnership with US stem cell therapeutics specialist Osiris
Therapeutics for the production of Osiris' Prochymal stem cell
therapy. Lonza will build what it claims is the first commercial-scale
allogeneic cGMP manufacturing facility, with additional capacity to
produce cGMP grade cell culture media, at its Walkersville facility in
Maryland, US.
