The Norwegian State Pollution Control Authority (SFT) has published its recommendation to the Norwegian Ministry of Environment (MoE) to restrict the sale in Norway of consumer products containing 10 substances including bisphenol A. According to the industry group PlasticsEurope, the SFT has not demonstrated the necessity and proportionality of the proposed measures. PlasticsEurope has called on the MoE to look carefully at the proposals as it has to act according to the EU's REACH regulations.
