Kitako's new four-spindle CNC lathe, the HS4200i with
high-speed automated gantry loader from SB Machine Tools, offers X-axis
gantry-loading feed rates of 6,700 ipm. The HS4200i's combined
four-spindle operation and gantry-loading capability accomplish untended
operation with no idle time for part loading/unloading.
Kitako's four-spindle technology provides a seamless cycling
of work from the loading zone to the machining zone and back again.
Operating much like a pallet changer on a machining center, the system
transitions parts in and out of the machining zone in as little as 0.8
sec each. Kitako, IMTS Booth A-8276, www.rsleads.com/809tp-166
