Egypt are protesting the new television drama series "Sharaf Fatah
Al Bab" (Sharaf Opened the Door), claiming the outdoor scenes
filmed in the streets are phony.
Many "Al Matrooh" residents were also shocked by the
indoor scenes that took place in luxurious offices and villas, claiming
that the series does not betray a true image of the place.
The series is created by Muhammad Jalal Abed Al Qawi and directed
by Syrian Rasha Sharbaji.
The series stars famous Egyptian actor Yehya Al Fakharni, Hala
Fakher, Ahmad Khalil and Muhammad Lutfi.
Al Fakharni plays the role of a supervisor of a storage area for a
large company. He is a very loyal supervisor, yet he is accused of
illegal activity and is sent to prison. There he starts to plan to take
revenge against those who damaged his life and his family.
