Fewer pursuits are more inspiring than enhancing the quality of
life for people throughout the world. At Dow AgroSciences, our mission
is to harness science to drive innovative solutions to pressing human
needs.
Every company has a story. Ours begins with science. In the 1950s,
as the agricultural unit of The Dow Chemical Company, we discovered and
developed innovative scientific solutions that improved the way the
world farmed. Many of the advancements we Introduced in those days still
play an important role in agriculture today. But we never stopped
thinking ahead. We continued to use science as the foundation for
revolutionary solutions to improve crop yield, and human and animal
health. Now, as a $3.8 billion wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow
Chemical Company and one of the leading agriculture companies in the
world, it's part of our ongoing mission to constantly improve what
is essential to human progress by mastering science and technology.
Dow AgroSciences is a company positioned for the future, with a
product mix and geographical presence that matches global market
opportunities. Our vision is to be the leader in the discovery and
development of new technologies and in promoting their integration with
conventional technologies. Our goal is to anticipate and meet our
customer's needs so consistently that they view us not merely as a
supplier but as their preferred long-term business partner. That is an
ambitious goal but it is matched by a culture at Dow AgroSciences that
motivates and empowers every employee to pursue excellence. Cultivating
that kind of atmosphere is the best way we've found to uncover new
opportunities for growth--for each employee and the company as a whole.
At Dow AgroSciences, our vision of the future is bright and promising,
and we look forward to it with enthusiasm.
